Every year, the Epilepsy Foundation – Iowa hosts the Seizure Smart Conference, bringing together some of the most brilliant minds in the fields of epilepsy medicine, research, resources and technology to share knowledge with those affected by epilepsy. And for the first time, you can even register for remote participation from a computer anywhere if you’re unable to make it in person!
The 2016 Seizure Smart Conference is being held this Saturday, November 5, in Coralville and will be a full day of presentations on everything that has to do with epilepsy, ranging from dietary plans to precision medicine.

The day starts at 8:00 am with registration and a resource fair, with a chance to win a free Sleep Safe Pillow. During the conference, we will be offering a Children’s Therapy/Education Session for children with epilepsy, siblings of children with epilepsy and children who have a parent with epilepsy, while the parents are attending the general session. Children ages 4-12 will be able to express their emotions through fun and engaging activities while their parents attend the main conference.
